Who would win in a fight: you, or a professional MMA fighter?
If you’re normal, you’d likely say the MMA fighter. However, some people have the crazy idea that, because they hit the gym a few times a week, they’re ready to brawl with the best of them.
Thing is, they’re not, as this recent viral video shows. For context, this is Kaan Kazgan and Savaş Cebeci. Kazgan is a professional MMA fighter with numerous wins under his belt. Cebeci is, as best I can tell, a fitness enthusiast and motivational speaker. No points for being able to guess who wins.

The actual background to this fight is difficult to figure out as I don’t speak Turkish, so I’m going to try my best to summarize the situation based on some Reddit comments and Google Translated articles.
Essentially, Cebeci was talking a big game, saying that no one who’s 70 kilos (155 pounds) could take him down (Cebeci weighs around 120 kilos, or 265 pounds). Kazgan, who is 70 kilos, responded by claiming that he could, in fact, take him down. There was some back and forth, and eventually, Kazgan drove to meet Cebeci outside of Istanbul — and managed to wrangle him in just a few seconds.
Apparently, the Turkish MMA Federation was not okay with one of their own duking it out with a motivational speaker; as a result, they’re currently “looking into” the situation. For their part, though, both Kazgan and Cebeci seem pretty happy with how things turned out. Cebeci congratulated Kazgan on the win in an Instagram post, and Kazgan himself said that both he and Cebeci have been cordial in the days following.
But in case it wasn’t abundantly clear already: fight strength and gym strength are two different things. Better to learn that now instead of when you’re chewing grass on a field in Turkey.
